Santa Barbara Village is on a mission to empower older adults in the community to live happily, healthfully, and successfully in their own homes as they age.

Yet the reality is that as a non-profit, community-based organization, we rely on more than membership fees to be sustainable. Donations are a key ingredient in the recipe for a financially stable Village.

How to Donate and Make an Impact

Checks should be written to "Community Partners for SB Village." If you would like to designate your gift in honor or in memory of someone special to you, please let us know with a note included with your check or on the memo line. We would be happy to notify the honoree or their family about your gift if you provide us the appropriate contact information. Donations via check can be hand delivered or mailed to our office:

It's true that there is a fee to be a member of Santa Barbara Village -- but membership dues do not cover all of our operating expenses to be here as a community resource.
Your donation will help us to:

better serve our members and their families;
continue to be here for more people well into the future;
and continue to serve the community at large through our many free public workshops, presentations, collaborations with other nonprofits, and more.

    Here's how dollars contribute to our work

    $20 covers the cost of checking the driving records of 10 volunteer drivers
    $48 supplies us with 100 postage stamps
    $50 helps us organize and host a public workshop or member event
    $125 covers the cost of running criminal background checks for 5 volunteers
    $250 keeps us in hard mail contact throughout the year with members not on email
    $300 helps us screen and arrange discounts with professional service providers
    $480 keeps us in high-tech communication with our large list of email contacts for a year
    $500 goes a long way in supporting our outreach efforts
    $1,000 provides a scholarship & financial aid for one low-income senior for a full year
    ANY AMOUNT helps support general operations to strengthen and grow SB Village!
